Stoel Rives LLP is seeking a debt finance associate to join its Corporate Practice Group. The role involves structuring, negotiating, and documenting secured and unsecured debt finance transactions, working directly with clients and colleagues across offices on complex transactions.

Responsibilities

Structuring, negotiating and documenting secured and unsecured debt finance transactions with both traditional financial institutions and private credit entities; sponsor-backed M&A; and common intercreditor and collateral issues in mezzanine, unitranche and split-lien structures

Independently produce client-ready documents

Manage project workstreams

Work with others on complex transactions

Work with colleagues across offices and practice groups and directly with clients

Required

3-5 years of experience in debt finance transactions

Experience focused on structuring, negotiating and documenting secured and unsecured debt finance transactions with both traditional financial institutions and private credit entities

Experience with sponsor-backed M&A

Experience with common intercreditor and collateral issues in mezzanine, unitranche, and split-lien structures

Ability to independently produce client-ready documents

Ability to manage project workstreams

Ability to work with others on complex transactions

Ability to work with colleagues across offices and practice groups

Ability to work directly with clients

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects

JD from an accredited university

Active membership in or commitment to applying to the Oregon or Washington State Bar
