The Tulalip Tribes is seeking a Project and Facilities Artist to join their Art Design Team. The role involves consulting and collaborating on art and design elements for Tribal projects and coordinating classes for the Tulalip Community.

Responsibilities

Consult and collaborate with designated recommending art and design elements for Tribal Projects
Coordinate classes for the Tulalip Community

Qualification

Wood carvingCoast Salish ArtworkPublic speakingReading building plansCPR/First Aid Certificate

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ten (10) years' experience in wood carving including the use and maintenance of various carving tools
Ten (10) years' experience in drawing, designing and painting Coast Salish Artwork
Five (5) years' experience with public speaking
Experience reading building plans or blue prints
Must be a Tulalip Tribal Member
Must provide examples of work (i.e. Portfolio) upon interview
WA State Driver's License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
CPR/First Aide Certificate
Must pass an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check

Preferred

Associates Degree in related field preferred
Experience carving totem poles, wood panels, masks, canoes, and carved doors preferred
