Senior HR Training/Workforce Development Professional

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of all Ohioans. They are seeking a creative and people-focused training professional to coordinate workforce planning and development, design and evaluate training programs, and implement learning plans to enhance workforce skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on workforce planning projects (e.g., coordination of Public Health Accreditation Board [PHAB] accreditation efforts, development of agency competencies, knowledge transfer)
Design, facilitate and evaluate training and development programs for employees. This includes delivery of appropriate instructional methods (e.g., distance learning, small group instruction, video streaming)
Establish guidelines and timeframes for the assessment of professional development needs and determine effectiveness of programs (e.g., leadership programs, ODH-U, supervisory development courses and public health professionals)
Implement learning plans and proposals to address agency staffing skill gaps to focus on the enhancement of workforce and knowledge transfer/succession planning
