Responsibilities

Design tools, dies, jigs, or fixtures for use in manufacturing processes

Evaluate tool drawing designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original specifications for form and function using engineering skills

Prepare parts sketches and write work orders and purchase requests to be furnished by outside contractors

Ensure drawings are produced in accordance with applicable drafting codes and standards

Devise, fabricate, or assemble new or modified mechanical components for products

Collaborate with engineers, and designers to ensure that designs meet project specifications and requirements

Assist with the modification and control of procedures and documents

Required

High School Education or equivalent - Training program in technically-related field is highly desired – Desire for continual learning

Proficient in drafting and the use of AutoCAD or SolidWorks applications

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Strong inspection and measurement abilities

Must be well organized with an ability to multitask, work on a diverse set of problems while simultaneously being on a steep learning curve

Practical verbal and written communication skills (English), can clearly present and discuss manufacturing information to technical and non-technical team members
