ELECTRICAL ENGINEER SKILLBRIDGE INTERN(PLANT OPERATIONS
HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division is the largest industrial employer in Virginia, focusing on designing and building U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines. They are offering an unpaid internship for transitioning active-duty military personnel to gain real-world experience as an Electrical Engineer, where the intern will research, develop, design, and test electrical components and systems.

Responsibilities
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited degree
Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service
Transitioning Military candidates can begin applying within final 12 months of military service
Education and Experience dependent on Program of Instruction
