Ayres Associates is looking to add a purpose-driven student to grow with their team. The internship will involve working under the supervision of engineering staff on bridge inspection and design projects, assisting with on-site investigations, and supporting the development of bridge projects.

Responsibilities

Work under the direct supervision of engineering staff and will be assigned to bridge inspection and design projects

Primarily assist with bridge inspections including on-site investigations, documenting findings, preparing reports, and other duties

Support the development of bridge projects including structural design, preparation of plans, writing reports, and computing quantities

Position requires overtime and out-of-town travel (anticipated to be less than 50% of time and maximum of 5 consecutive days). Work-related expenses for out-of-town travel will be covered by Ayres

In pursuit of a civil engineering degree

Reliable means of transportation to travel to office location. Company-provided vehicles and/or ride-sharing options will be available for off-site travel
