Responsibilities
Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Lead Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic
Equipment includes but is not limited to mammography and DEXA studies, in addition to general radiographic studies, fluoroscopic studies, ASC procedures, and/or SCNB procedures with designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and designated PACS system
Functions as a team leader, with appropriate attention to team development and success of department
May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
PACS and RIS
ARRT (R)(M) MRT-General Certificate
BLS through the American Heart Assoc
3+ years of experience in mammography or 1-year of KSC mammography and 1-year in mammography quality control
Experience using Microsoft
Knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
Associates in Applied Science-Radiology Technology
X-ray, DEXA and SCNB
