Responsibilities
Own all aspects of second shift production, ensuring safe, efficient operation and meeting daily production targets (safety, quality, delivery, cycle time and uptime)
Lead and develop a team of supervisors and associates
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles (5S, standardized work) to optimize processes, reduce waste, and maximize throughput
Proactively identify and resolve production bottlenecks
Implement root cause corrective actions to maintain process stability
Champion a safety-first culture
Drive relentless quality assurance, ensuring all vehicles meet exacting standards and addressing deviations immediately
Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Facilities to resolve issues and successfully implement process changes
Utilize production data (OEE, scrap rates) to analyze performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions for operational improvement
Qualification
Required
7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing
5+ years in direct production management
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or a related technical experience
Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams under pressure
Strong understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
Highly adaptable, decisive, and possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate issues across all organizational levels
Preferred
Automotive or EV assembly experience
