2+ years expSwitchgear Power Systems is seeking a Material Handler/Fab Tech for their Weekend 1st Shift. The role involves moving materials to support fabrication, loading and unloading parts, assisting in bending and welding parts, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
Move materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments)
Load, unload sheets and parts off laser
Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs)
Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc)
Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand
Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc
Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications
Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications
Follow company policy and standards
Able to operate forklifts and hoists
Keep work centers clean and orderly
Able to take and follow directives
Qualification
Required
2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience
Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc
Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications
Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications
Follow company policy and standards
Able to operate forklifts and hoists
Keep work centers clean and orderly
Able to take and follow directives
Preferred
Ability to work and function as a team
Self-motivated and can work without much supervision
Strong communication skills (written, verbal)
Is safety minded and puts safety first while performing job duties and functions
