Responsibilities

Develop engineering solutions, evaluate new technologies, and advance scientific knowledge in electrical engineering
Serve as a technical communicator between the company, its customers, and external organizations
Develop and market proposals for research development supported by internal and external sources
Progressively develop competence in various engineering or scientific techniques to meet company objectives
Keep the Team Leader/Area Manager informed of project status and progress, addressing any significant matters affecting objectives

Required

PhD in Electrical Engineering OR MS + 5 years of related experience OR BS + 8 years
5+ years in design and/or operation & maintenance of electrical/power generation equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, wind turbines, solar PV units, and battery energy storage
Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Superior written and communication skills for report writing and conveying technical concepts to clients
Demonstrated project management skills including technical, financial, and personnel management
State-of-the-art knowledge in electrical engineering with experience in analysis and experimental techniques
Familiarity with office tools for business and technical communication

Preferred

Exposure to power electronics, electrical system studies, and modeling
Experience in engineering or research in electrical engineering that commands industry recognition or leads to publication in peer-reviewed journals
