Senior Associate, Mortgage Banking

They are seeking a Mortgage Banking Associate to join their Mortgage Sales and Origination team, where the role involves interacting with clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory disclosures, and providing sales support to Mortgage Bankers.

Responsibilities

Interact directly with clients and advisors to collect and review all documentation needed for loan processing and underwriting preparation
Obtain contact and relevant information for appraisals, insurance, and title vesting
Prepare and send required and timely regulatory disclosures, ensuring compliance with TILA-RESPA and order all third-party services
Research Source of Wealth and serve as primary contact for KYC team inquiries and submissions
Manage entries of rate locks, extensions, and concession requests
Provide sales support to Mortgage Bankers and Wealth/Pershing colleagues regarding regional mortgage pipeline and portfolio loans
Act as primary internal contact for clients post application, manage Mortgage Bankers’ pipeline and ensure smooth file progression from initial contact through closing
Communicate interim updates to clients, advisors, and colleagues on individual files
Support and enhance Mortgage Sales team by taking applications, assisting with product selection, reviewing rates, and sourcing new business with existing clients
Serve as backup to Mortgage Bankers
Participate in team and client meetings to build relationships with Mortgage team, Client Strategists, Wealth Managers, and clients to improve client experience and increase mortgage production
Collaborate with marketing, legal, compliance, and other firm-wide teams to ensure risk management and compliance activities related to business development are conducted and documented

Required

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
5-7 years of total work experience; experience in mortgage, lending, or private banking is preferred
The individual should have sales acumen, strong organizational skills, and an aptitude to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment. Incumbent must have an in-depth understanding of the mortgage business
The applicant should be a strong communicator with a willingness to participate in sales calls, client meetings, and client events
This role will require an NMLS registration, which is to be obtained upon hiring
