Parkview Health is offering a Nursing Administration Summer Clinical Internship that provides hands-on experience through structured rotations in hospital nursing departments. Interns will engage in projects that enhance clinical understanding and support patient care environments while primarily working daytime shifts with some evening and weekend hours.

Participate in structured rotations across all hospital nursing departments

Work on one to two projects aligned with the nursing departments

Enhance clinical understanding and provide meaningful engagement in patient care environments

Required

Must meet one of the following requirements: current CNA, EMT, or Paramedic certification or must take Parkview's Patient Care Foundations course at time of hire

2 years experience in a healthcare related field; training time will be determined based on experience

Currently enrolled in nursing school having completed first clinical rotations if hired prior to 12/3/18

Two (2) years military medical experience will be accepted

Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire

Must have good verbal and written communication skills

Must have a working knowledge of computer skills and applications

Demonstrates ability to critically think

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds

Preferred

CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred or must have the equivalent of health care experience and education

Two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required)

Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire

Previous experience is preferred in direct patient care through work and/or school program

Preferred qualifications include CPR certification and training in blood pressure monitoring
