Performs polysomnograms overnight

Administers oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employs ventilatory assist devices in accordance with established protocols

Recognizes at risk events and notifies appropriate physicians

Qualification

Registered Polysomnographic TechnologistRegistered Sleep TechnologistCPR certificationPolysomnography program graduateRecognizing at risk events

Required

High School graduate or equivalent

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification (RPSGT) from the BRPT or the AASMs Registered Sleep Technologist certification (RST) is required

Will consider board eligible graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program

The applicant MUST pass board examination within 3 months of employment

Current CPR required prior to first day of clinical work

Preferred

Degree is preferred but not required
