Senior Business Development Manager

Responsibilities
Develops and executes strategic account plans to drive business growth and meet revenue targets
Serves as the primary point of customer contact, managing the relationship across multiple customer organizations and divisions
Collaborates with internal departments including PMO, B&P, Engineering, Service, and Contract Management to deliver comprehensive solutions
Identifies new business opportunities and maintains a robust sales pipeline
Conducts strategic market research, emerging industry trends and fully understands customer needs to develop targeted solutions
Builds customer roadmaps and long-term strategies aligned with mutual business goals
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to support customer engagement and networking
Monitors KPIs, maintains accurate recording in CRM systems and provides regular updates and forecasts
Partners with project managers to strategically align staffing with project needs and ensure successful execution of projects
Maintains high level of communication with internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues as appropriate
Resolves customer issues in coordination with relevant internal teams and suppliers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction
Ensure that all sales data and reporting responsibilities are managed within the expected deadlines
Act as a strategic interface between customers and internal engineering, proposal, and execution teams to align technical scope, risk profile, and commercial approach
Lead the preparation of strategic presentations, white papers, and capability documents for customers
Assess risks, anticipate challenges and provide escalation management when necessary
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management abilities
Strong knowledge of mail processing systems, requirements, and technologies
Deep working knowledge of postal operations in letter and flat processing, sortation and delivery
System and concept level knowledge of parcel automation, processing and sortation
Proven leadership and team collaboration skills
Strategic thinking with a track record of developing and executing account growth plans
High-level financial acumen, including P&L oversight and contract negotiation
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable navigating complex customer organizations across multiple locations
Experience working in collaborative environments with diverse stakeholders
Effective communicator with ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix team environment
Advanced proficiency in CRM tools, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field required
Minimum of 10+ years of business development/sales and contract negotiation experience specifically in mail and parcel automation
Proven experience managing customer accounts and driving strategic growth initiatives
Requires a self-motivated, self-directed, and well-connected individual who can contribute strategically to the company's growth in the U.S. market and to identify and maximize opportunities
Demonstrated ability to independently originate, develop, and close project opportunities from concept to award
Preferred
MBA or advanced business degree preferred
