Responsibilities

Ensure all imaging studies are accurately coded, archived, and linked in PACS/electronic records with proper charge entry
Follow safety protocols: confirm patient identity with two identifiers, apply universal protocol, practice radiation safety, and maintain aseptic technique during procedures
Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including proper positioning, monitoring, and contrast administration under physician direction
Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, reduce anxiety, and ensure cooperation
Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and staff across departments to support efficient, high-quality patient care
Maintain clinical competencies, continuing education, and quality standards for imaging, point-of-care testing, and equipment operation
Provide standby call coverage as scheduled

Required

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS)
ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required
New graduates have 1 year to obtain their board certification
CPR certification is required
ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology OR ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Echocardiograph and Ultrasound
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Act 34

Preferred

ACLS certification is desired upon hire. Successful completion of ACLS certification required within orientation period
