Senior Systems Engineer - Fixed Wing Military FMS Product Owner (Onsite)

RTX is seeking a skilled professional to join their Flight Management and Controls department as a Product Owner for military Fixed Wing programs. In this role, you will collaborate with various platform teams and customers to outline project requirements, create a structured backlog of stories, and coordinate with agile teams for successful execution of the programs.

Responsibilities

You will serve as the primary FM&C liaison to assigned programs, ensuring our flight management systems align perfectly with schedule and requirements
You will lead the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive story backlog that outlines all necessary tasks, making complex projects manageable and transparent
You will collaborate across various department agile teams to delegate tasks and track progress, ensuring all objectives are met on time and within budget
You will oversee all FM&C efforts within assigned Fixed Wing programs
You will drive the department's contributions to bids and proposals, securing our role for years to come
Up to 10% of travel as needed

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in large-scale projects
Familiarity with Earned Value Management

Preferred

Proven experience in project management within the aerospace or defense industry
Demonstrated ability in leading cross-functional teams effectively
Strong foundation in communication skills, and team collaboration
