The role provides valuable exposure to real-world transportation projects, assisting with various surveying tasks and collaborating with project managers on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Assisting with conducting topographic surveys and boundary surveys
Familiarity with data collecting and/or robotic total station
Experience with GPS devices
Experience conducting topographic and/or boundary surveys
Experience conducting courthouse research related to surveys
Assisting with construction staking
Exposure to projects and people in all of our transportation groups
Collaborate with project managers and colleagues on multiple transportation projects that vary in size and scope while developing familiarity with the federal, state, and local design standards
Utilize technical software programs to analyze, prepare, and quality check client deliverables
Field observations and data collection
Assist with preparation of technical reports and memos
Participation in technical and client meetings
Fun team-building activities that will allow you to network with professionals and interns alike

Required

Completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying from an accredited college or university
Familiarity with data collecting and/or robotic total station
Experience with GPS devices
Experience conducting topographic and/or boundary surveys
Experience conducting courthouse research related to surveys
Assisting with construction staking
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license is recommended
