Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist (RT) assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Cath Lab team
Performs the radiological procedures at a technical level
Responsible for positioning the patient and fluoroscopic equipment as needed to obtain optimum views of all relevant anatomy during procedures
Provides a safe patient care environment, maintains and operates the physiological monitoring/recording system for both interventional cardiac and complex electrophysiology studies, is responsible for monitoring radiation exposure levels during all exams and ensuring that technical factors appropriate for the given procedure are used

Required

Expert clinical skills in a cardiovascular intervention setting
Ability to perform radiological procedures at a technical level
Experience in positioning patients and fluoroscopic equipment
Knowledge of maintaining and operating physiological monitoring/recording systems
Ability to monitor radiation exposure levels during exams
Understanding of technical factors appropriate for various procedures
