Cardiovascular Invasive Rad Tech - Part Time

The role involves managing patients during procedures, operating diagnostic equipment, and participating in the preceptoring of new employees.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic testing and assist with interventional procedures according to established departmental procedures
Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results
Manage the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet quality patient care standards
Ensure supplies are maintained and report problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member
Support the Interventionalist by scrubbing in during the procedure and documenting events of the procedure
Participate in and support preceptoring of new employees or clinical education activities where applicable
Provide quality customer service, participate in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and cooperation
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required
Licensed by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) required
Registered as American Registry of Radiology Technologist in Radiography (ARRT)(R) required
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
ACLS is required within 12 months from date of hire or transfer
1-2 years interventional cardiology experience preferred
Candidates must possess ability to multitask, with attention to fine detail in a fast-paced environment
NJDEP State License expires every two years and must be renewed biennially to work
ARRT expires on incumbent's date of birth and must be renewed annually to work
Preferred
1-2 years interventional cardiology experience preferred
Peripheral experience preferred
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire
