Responsibilities

Come up with innovative technologies to optimize cost and computation time
Collaborate with peers to design, optimize the embedded HPC cluster
Work with multiple stake holders to drive hardware / OS stack qualification
Project-manage the development effort
Develop engineering documentation
Support L4 escalations. Domestic and international travel is required

Required

Strong Linux administration skills
Proven Linux kernel module development experience
Proven experience with designing and supporting a 100+ node cluster in an enterprise or research computing environment
Deep understanding of computer architecture
Proven experience with Configuration Management tools, such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet and Chef
Experience with automation and CI/CD
Experience with Nvidia GPU compute
Good network administration skills, and experience with InfiniBand or RoCE
Experience with containers, such as Docker, Podman, and Singularity/Apptainer
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Preferred

Proficiency in Python, C/C++ and Shell programming
Strong performance optimization skills
Proven expertise in parallel storage, such as Lustre, BeeGFS, Ceph, etc
Proven expertise in distributed computing and parallel computing
Excellent writing skills
