Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
As part of the Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) organization, and deployed in the Flight Control Systems team you will act as an Senior Systems Engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
You will take part in delivering and integrating a flight control system for autonomous flight
You will help support problem solving activities to drive increased flight control performance and safety
You will help coordinate testing activities, data analysis, and design development together with suppliers and other stakeholders
You will take part in design reviews, requirement development, and collaboration with suppliers and regulatory authorities
In some areas, you will be working closely with safety and certification representatives to refine a robust, certifiable design
Qualification
Required
You have a B.S. in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 5 years of experience in the development, integration, verification, and certification of aircraft or large integrated systems such as integrated Avionics or Flight Control Systems
You have hands-on experience with the integration and management of redundant systems
You have experience working with suppliers of complex, highly integrated systems
You have worked with, and have a deep understanding of operating fundamentals and practical limitations of electromechanical actuators, their associated sensors, and their control algorithms
You have worked as part of a new product development environment
You have experience with ARP4754, ARP4761
You have familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254
