Responsibilities
Perform trainee-level duties under supervision
Answer routine inquiries
Screen calls
Assist visitors and patients
Record and transcribe physician orders
Maintain and coordinate clinic schedules
Manage the co-pay collection process
Participate in team or group work activities in the center(s)
Perform duties and responsibilities in a confidential environment requiring direct supervision with limited latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative
Qualification
Required
Medical Office Assistant Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
Associate's degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices
Preferred
The ideal candidate should have secretarial, customer service experience and working in a medical/receptionist environment
