Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and detailed design of sensor or radome hardware and requirements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams, including thermal, structural, mechanical, and systems engineering
Create and review documentation for sensor system testing, including analyses, schematics, interface drawings, test plans, and specifications
Work closely with sensor manufacturing suppliers
Analyze simulation and test data to verify performance against requirements

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with a related advanced degree, with any combination of the following:
Experience contributing to sensor designs through concept trades/studies, preliminary design, final design, and / or qualification
Experience using simulation and modeling tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, PMM, and/or GRASP
Experience with sensor measurements within near-field systems
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering
Familiarity with high-power planar near-field measurement systems
Knowledge of planar near-field to far-field processing algorithms
Experience maturing sensor technologies to higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) or Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL)
Solid understanding of radar principles
Experience analyzing and presenting technical data to stakeholders
Strong sensor supplier and customer support experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and execute technical plans effectively
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration within a team environment
Experience participating in or presenting to boards such as Failure Review Board (FRB), Engineering Review Board (ERB), Change Control Board (CCB), or Manufacturing Review Board (MRB)
Knowledge of designing and measuring complex multi-layer radomes
Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers like SLURM
