Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse

Demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff

Maintains responsibility and accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies

Maintains an active, working knowledge of the Credentialing Competencies required for Emergency Services Technicians

Consistently demonstrates professionalism in both appearance and conduct

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required

Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children strongly preferred

Basic medical terminology

Computer familiarity

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments

Registered or Certified Nursing Assistant (RNA/CNA) required for employees who perform this job in the state of Washington (including those who float into the role)

Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist required for employees who perform phlebotomy in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role)
