NFI is currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Financial Controller to oversee the financial management and reporting of their real estate properties. This role involves collaborating with external auditors, managing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while leading a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for the real estate properties

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements in all financial reporting

Utilize Yardi Voyager to maintain and enhance financial systems and processes for efficient property management

Manage general ledger and full month-end close process

Reconcile bank statements and oversee AP/AR accuracy

Oversee annual budgeting activity

Deliver variance analysis

Manage all aspects of property accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and month-end/year-end close processes

Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness

Monitor and analyze financial performance of properties, providing insights and recommendations for improvement

Collaborate with development, construction, and property management teams to ensure accurate project accounting and reporting

Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies
