Responsibilities
Operates various industrial sewing machines
Sew decorations on caps, including patches made of leather, cloth or other material
Using design sheet as reference, ensure that all orders coincide with work orders
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required by the Facilities Coordinator and Production Manager
Familiarity with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above
Thread machine –must be able to adjust tension and threads and perform basic machine adjustments
Ability to meet production quality and throughput. Level 1-2 based on Spoilage and throughput

Flexibility and willingness to rotate lines and jobs within area
Light to moderate physical effort required
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit
The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, feel objects, tools, or controls
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
