Sr Advanced Systems Engineer - Control Account Manager (CAM / EVM)

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer - Control Account Manager. This position is responsible for planning, monitoring, and organizing engineering resources required for product development and modification, while managing the Earned Value Management (EVM) process and ensuring program execution.

Responsibilities

Participates in proposal activities
Establishes background knowledge on proposed scope to inform for program execution
Accountable to DPME and expected to operate with limited oversight and coordinates the interface between manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and the engineering to coordinate program funding and execution
Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for detailed tasks, adhering to program milestones and tracking resources within the EVM process
Ensure risk mitigation and opportunities are incorporated in IMS and tracked as tasks
Will be the Control Account Manager (CAM) for a number of IPTs or engineering areas
Collects, reviews, analyses and acts on project metrics and data to manage resources toward meeting project commitments and deliverables objectives
Initiating material procurements and interfacing with Supply Chain, Vendors and Manufacturing to ensure resource availability to support build schedules
Provides visibility into material order status and elevates issues to IPT leads and DPME as necessary
Collects and coordinates inputs form technical leads to consolidate BOM

Required

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
U.S. citizenship is required
Proven experience with EVM program execution
Strong background in electrical/mechanical systems, and systems engineering
Strong understanding of how the technical solution supports mission objectives and requirements
Organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to use specialized software for collaboration and time management, including spreadsheets; Project scheduling applications like MS Project
Ability to delegate skills and provide updates for local stakeholders
Experience with inventory control, material management and tracking
Strong time management and analytical skills
Self-starter and initiator
Strong communication skills
