Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases
Handle database creation, migration, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
Implement and manage strong security protocols (encryption, authentication, compliance)
Monitor and tune performance to ensure high availability and reliability
Automate routine tasks with shell scripting and tools like Crontab
Support applications, troubleshoot database issues, and participate in on-call rotations
Work closely with Oracle support and internal teams to resolve issues quickly
Qualification
Required
Active IRS MBI Clearance Required
7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong skills in PL/SQL, performance tuning, security, data modeling, and automation
Basic understanding of Linux, storage, and networking
Preferred
Experience with ICCE and eServices is a plus
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Team-oriented mindset and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
