Injection Mold Designer

Amca is building airplanes for the 21st century, starting by designing new hardware that flies on today’s planes. In this role, you will be a key player in the development cycle for new products by designing tooling for injection molded parts.

Responsibilities

Design injection mold tooling
Work with design engineers to rapidly develop injection mold tooling
Develop rapid prototyping process for new injection mold designs
Assist Amca with other tooling design needs

Qualification

Injection mold designCAD softwarePLM/PDM systemsGeometric dimensioningTolerancingTooling design

Required

5+ years experience in injection mold design
5+ years experience in standard CAD software (e.g. NX, Catia, Solidworks, etc.)
Proficient in CAD, PLM/PDM systems, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Comfortable designing injection mold tooling for different machines, materials, and processes like insert molding, overmolding, transfer molding, and standard injection molding
All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR
