Responsibilities
Maintain existing client base
Develop new client base while utilizing professional sales techniques. To include cold calling
Pre-plan and schedule appointments daily
Promote and sell services daily
Utilization of effective communication skills daily
Attend after-hours events such as Chamber of Commerce meetings, customer events
Meet with company operations personnel, i.e., Terminal Managers, Drivers, Customer Service, etc
Follow up on sales leads and referrals in a timely manner
Assist Corporate Office with collections of past due accounts
Prepare Weekly Recap Reports, Weekly Plan Sheet, Expense Reports, Mileage .Reports, and Truckload Quote Breakdown Forms
Assist Corporate Office with damaged freight inspections and report back to Corporate Office
Review and analyze specific customer shipping requirements and report back to pricing department to assist in the development of fair and equitable account pricing
All office personnel must be reliable, must report for duty on time, and must be available for overtime when required
All office personnel must keep management informed
All office personnel must maintain a good working relationship with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management
Learn and adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures
Updating CRM (Customer Relations Management) database daily
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma; must be able to read, write, and do basic math
Must maintain a valid driver's license
