Responsibilities

Prepare and review month-end close reports, financial statements, and analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies

Develop a deep understanding of period close processes, reporting requirements, and journal entries, ensuring timely completion in alignment with company deadlines

Continuously update and enhance accounting policies and procedures to support best practices and efficiency improvements

Create and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits, compiling and preparing supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial reports for both internal and external audits

Monitor and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements

Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting matters

Ensure adherence to NOV’s corporate policies and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

3+ years of professional accounting experience

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance

Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Process oriented

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred

Master's degree in accounting or finance

CPA certification or actively working toward completion

Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm

Prior experience in a public company

Experience with Oracle Cloud (Omega)

Prior industry experience

Background in technical accounting and/or auditing
