They are seeking a Dist Service Tech - Trainee to conduct field surveys and perform assignments related to the design and engineering of overhead and underground facilities, assisting in the coordination of maintenance and construction operations.

Responsibilities

Specifies design for single phase and three phase overhead and underground facilities per training curriculum according to specifications and defined compatible units

Prepares corrective maintenance, failed equipment and pole replacement work orders for overhead and underground facilities

Works with other utility companies, municipalities, corporations and authorities regarding joint use of distribution facilities

Prepares work orders, sketches, right-of-way requests, permit requests and estimate Generates work orders in appropriate company systems and computer tools

Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet with customers to satisfy project needs and service complaints

Determines customer obligations from Standard Practice Instructions for contracts, costs, billing and accounting purposes

Performs such other related duties as assigned or as necessary

Qualification

Engineering degreeTrainingDevelopment Program

Required

Graduate of a two-year Engineering or Engineering Technology degree program from a school/program which has been accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation agency

Successful completion of the company's Training and Development Program for Distribution Service Technicians

Licensed to operate a motor vehicle
