Responsibilities

Provide experienced executive and programmatic leadership and management to enable Northside to achieve its mission, strategy, and operating goals. Collaborate with the President and CEO and members of the board of directors and senior and management teams to regularly assess Programs to keep pace with strategic and operating client and community needs consistent with Northside’s mission
Oversee and manage multi-disciplinary and multi-service programs providing a broad range of clinical, educational, and recreational services, including administrative, supervisory, and budgetary responsibilities for all Behavioral Health Services and other Program services. Collaborate with Early Childhood Center and Head Start Directors in integrated Programs delivery. Coordinate with the Development and Marketing Director in the preparation and presentation of funding proposals and reports
Provide overall clinical and programmatic direction to ensure high-quality, mission-relevant service delivery, therapeutic services, and clinical and educational outcomes
Ensure that all Programs comply with administrative and service delivery directives of funding agencies and donors, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Deliver timely and accurate reporting and compliance with all regulatory quality management directives, and meet Northside's high standards for effective, quality, culturally sensitive, and financially sound services
Recruit, develop, support, and manage Programs Staff. Include staff in setting integrated departmental and project objectives, program services, budgets, and a well-organized and responsible reporting structure
Incorporate client and family representation and voice in all aspects of programming, including a well-functioning Consumer Advisory Committee
Prepare presentations for Northside’s Board of Directors, management, and other stakeholders as needed and requested by the President and CEO. Ensure that the Programs Committee of the Board of Directors receives all relevant information that may affect Northside and all information as requested by the Board
Provide leadership to support the overall mission of Northside as directed by the President and CEO

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
10+ years of experience in mental health practice, preferably community-based, with a record of successful outcomes with a diversity of racial, ethnic, economic, and child and family backgrounds, including African American, Black, and Hispanic; multi-lingual is a plus
Not-For-Profit experience, with a clear commitment to and passion for Northside's mission and the community we serve
Experience with Federal, State, and New York City regulatory and funding agencies, including Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Department of Youth and Community Development, Administration for Children's Services, Department of Education, Head Start, and Office of Children and Family Services
Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience with increasing administrative responsibility and oversight

Preferred

Advanced degree in Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, or Education preferred
