Applied Technical Services, LLC is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. They are seeking an Engineering Consultant to support their Mechanical Integrity Department, which involves performing field inspections, generating calculations and reports, and assisting in project management.

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections of industrial equipment under the supervision of qualified API Inspection personnel (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems)

Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc

Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel

Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics

Assist in Managing projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000

Assist in Managing client relationships

Qualification

Mechanical EngineeringAPI CertificationsAutoCADMicrosoft OfficeEIT/PE licensureCommunicationProject management

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field required

Must be willing to travel 30% out of office

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures

Excellent communication skills written and verbal

Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc

Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc

Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments

Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc

Preferred

Experience in Mechanical Integrity preferred but not required

Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred

Desire to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) and /or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
