Responsibilities

Conduct surface water sampling and assist with the operation and maintenance of gage stations

Participate in stormwater monitoring activities and support the development and surveying of erosion prevention structures

Collect, manage, and interpret environmental data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting

Adhere to safety standards and environmental protocols in all field and office activities

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Willingness and eagerness to spend time outdoors, primarily in field settings

Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Ability to travel as needed

Must be 18 years of age at time of hire

Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)

Preferred

STEM Fields (Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental or Civil Engineering)

At least a 2.5 GPA

Strong critical thinking and research skills

Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
