Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. ATS is seeking an API 510/570/653 Engineering Consultant to support the Mechanical Integrity Department, responsible for performing field inspections of industrial equipment and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems)

Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc

Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel

Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics

Manage projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000

Manage client relationships

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field preferred

5 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity

Must be willing to travel 30% out of office

Any of the following certifications: API-510, API-570, API-653, CWI

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures

Excellent communication skills written and verbal

Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc

Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc

Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments

Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc

Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred

Engineer in Training (EIT) and /or desired to acquire Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
