Responsibilities
Under general supervision of Manager of Breast Imaging, the Mammography technologist provides Mammographic technical skills to the Department mission
Duties are to work as technologist and duties in other areas and/or modalities as necessary
The Mammography technologist performs mammography exams for use of diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury to patients of all ages
Qualification
Required
Requires knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography
Requires knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Radiologic equipment to include mammography
Generally acquired through the completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of Radiologic technology
MSRT/ARRT (M) required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients
Ability to instruct students and provide technical supervision to staff technologists
State Radiology/mammography license required
All applicable Radiology/mammography education requirements
