They are seeking an Entry Level Design Stress Engineer to perform stress analyses of nuclear pressure vessels and work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to optimize designs for manufacturability.

Responsibilities
Support in performing stress analyses of nuclear pressure vessels and other highly engineered products
Assist with conducting finite element analysis, custom post-processing software, and closed form analytical techniques
Assist with perform standard and advanced structural analysis methods including linear elastic sizing, fatigue, elastic-plastic, fracture mechanics, shock and vibration, and thermal/mechanical
Work with members of other engineering disciplines (manufacturing, quality, welding, drafters, thermal fluids, etc.) in a team environment to generate component designs to meet code requirements and to optimize the design for manufacturability
Work closely with on-site manufacturing to resolve real time fabrication related issues
Communicate effectively internal and customer presentations and written technical reports
Assist in efforts to reduce cost and span of current components
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or similar degree
0-2 years of mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or similar experience
Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and written technical reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
Preferred
Experience in the use of finite element analysis (FEA) software (preferably Abaqus or Ansys)
Knowledge of Design Codes
Experience of computer programming codes (ex. C++, Fortran, Python, etc.)
