IT Systems Engineering Analyst

HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineering Analyst to join their team at WPAFB, in Dayton, Ohio. The role involves evaluating emerging technologies and platforms, conducting analyses of alternatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful technology decision-making.

Responsibilities

This role involves conducting comprehensive analysis of alternatives (AoA)
Responsible for evaluating and comparing existing/emerging IT platforms and software
Responsible for evaluating and comparing software solutions to determine their viability and effectiveness within the AFRL/IZ organization
Developing detailed documentation outlining the strengths, weaknesses, and potential impact of various technologies to the AFRL and DoD complex
Developing, leading, and participating in pilot programs of selected technology alternatives
Experience in collaborating with stakeholders across different departments to ensure successful pilot execution and informed technology decision-making

Required

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 5 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 3 years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 15 years relevant experience
Active Security Clearance preferred or ability to acquire a Secret level clearance required
Basic knowledge of government IT acquisition processes including IT onboarding (ATO/RMF) processes
Extensive knowledge of a wide range of technologies both commercial and non-commercial
Understanding of complex systems, integrations, and interactions with other systems
The candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to translate technical information into business terms and present summarized information to an audience at various levels of leadership/IT expertise

Preferred

Knowledge of DoD Architectural Framework (DoDAF) and The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF) preferred
Preferred work location on-site at WPAFB, hybrid work situation possible
