Adult Psychologist

WVU Medicine is seeking an Adult Psychologist to provide individual, group, family, and conjoint therapy, as well as psychological evaluations and expert testimony in legal proceedings. The role involves clinical supervision, consultation, and participation in planning and implementation of treatment goals and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Provides direct clinical intervention services to individuals, couples, families and groups
Provides psychological testing, evaluation, services, reports, and expert testimony in legal proceedings including probable cause and commitment hearings
Completes all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner (e.g. case notes, reports, intakes, terminations, treatment plans, etc
Responsible for preparation and monitoring of individual client behavior plans
Responsible for oversight of the preparation and monitoring of client behavior management plans
Evaluates client progress in achieving behavior management plan objectives
Supervises the implementation of behavior management plans
Collaborates with psychiatrist and other specialists in developing treatment programs for clients
Provides case consultation
Attends client team meetings as requested
Maintains or exceeds performance standards set by administrative team
Applies for and maintains the highest level of licensure or certification for which (s)he is eligible
Assures continuation of such by acquiring the minimum number of hours of training or CEUs necessary to retain such licensure or certification
Establishes a knowledge of appropriate codes and keeps abreast of changes in order to maximize billing
Completes and maintains the quantity and quality of documentation necessary to meet regulatory and organizational requirements
Arranges for, documents and maintains participation in clinical supervision
Provides clinical supervision as requested

Required

Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) or Doctoral degree (Ph.D.)
Licensed as a psychologist in the state of WV, or applicable state where services will be performed
West Virginia state and Federal criminal background check required for DHHR WV CARES regulated area
One year of patient care experience (can include practicum and internship experience)

Preferred

Advanced Continuing education in clinical areas
Two years of patient care experience
