Responsibilities

Perform CT scans of all body regions following established protocols and radiologist direction

Obtain and document relevant clinical history to support accurate interpretation

Start IVs and administer contrast media safely, assessing patient condition and allergies

Communicate clearly with patients and families, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort

Practice sterile techniques and maintain a safe, clean work environment

Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions

Accurately track exams using the Radiology Information System and ensure timely upload to PACS

Assist with quality control and accreditation processes

Train and orient new staff, students, and job shadows

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care

Qualification

ARRT certificationIndiana State Board licenseCT protocolsRadiation safetyPatient positioningComputer skillsCommunication skills

Required

Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program

ARRT certification and Indiana State Board of Health license required

Minimum of 3 months on-the-job CT training

Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, and CT protocols

Excellent communication and computer skills

Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, push equipment up to 50 lbs, and lift patients (up to 35 lbs unassisted)

Must be able to perform CPR and respond to emergencies

Preferred

Prior CT experience preferred
