Responsibilities
Oversees and mentors a team of Cybersecurity Engineering colleagues, enabling a culture of continuous learning, growth opportunities, and inclusivity for individual colleagues and teams through mentoring, feedback, and metrics, and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
Provides direct leadership and coaching to the Engineering team, supporting training and development of best practices
Develops and leads comprehensive service implementation plans to address identified issues, ensuring global fixes and thorough reporting on resolutions
Oversees and manages EMIM (Enterprise Major Incident Management) bridges, coordinating efforts to resolve urgent cybersecurity issues efficiently
Provides technical escalation support during EMIM bridges, conducting in-depth analysis and diagnostics to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
Manages resource allocation, project timeline, and budget for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Collaborates with senior leadership to hire top talent for the team, ensuring a high-functioning and cohesive unit, implementing strategies for talent retention and professional development
Leads the development and deployment of security architectures, including zero-trust models, micro-segmentation, and advanced encryption techniques
Monitors and ensures the quality, compliance, and performance of security network solutions, implementing rigorous standards and leveraging industry-leading best practices
Establishes and maintains comprehensive, scalable cybersecurity documentation and governance frameworks, ensuring enterprise-wide transparency, consistency, and alignment with cutting-edge data standards
Monitors and ensures the quality, compliance, and performance of cybersecurity solutions through conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS
Implements robust logging and monitoring solutions to provide visibility into security events and incidents
Assesses the potential impacts of emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and recommends improvements to ensure the organization remains compliant and secure
Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of Experience in Cybersecurity Engineering with 5+ years in a leadership role
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security standards
Knowledge of Application Development & Security
Knowledge of Data Engineering
Knowledge of Cloud Security Management
Knowledge of Data Privacy & Protection (DPP, GDPR)
Knowledge of Data Security Management
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating security tasks
Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security fundamentals
Experience in cybersecurity and / or application security
Experience with Source Composition Analysis tooling and integrations
Experience with Static Application Security Testing tooling and integrations
Experience with Dynamic Application Security Testing tooling and integrations
Experience with Mobile Application Security Testing tooling and integrations
Experience integrating DevSecOps, and the integration of SDL elements into SDLC processes
Experience in overseeing multiple cybersecurity engineering teams, providing strategic direction and leadership
Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools such as Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar
Experience with IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems)
Experience with incident response tools such as Wireshark or Sysinternals and forensic investigation tools and techniques
Experience with security tools such as firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), intrusion detection systems (e.g., Snort, Suricata), and antivirus software (e.g., Symantec, McAfee)
At least one security related certification like: CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, CEH, GSEC, GCDA, GCSA, GPCS, GDSA
