Responsibilities

Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammograms according to physician orders and imaging protocols
Ensure high image quality while minimizing patient exposure to radiation
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the electronic medical records system
Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients before, during, and after procedures
Assist with patient scheduling and exam preparation as needed
Ensure compliance with ACR, FDA, MQSA, and state regulations
Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting any issues promptly
Collaborate with radiologists and the broader clinical team to support workflow and diagnostic accuracy
Maintain continuing education requirements and stay current on mammography best practices

Required

Strong attention to image quality and detail
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of radiation safety practices and mammographic positioning techniques
Proficiency with digital mammography equipment and PACS systems
Ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs and schedules
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current ARRT (R) certification and Mammography (M) certification required
Texas MRT license required
CPR certification (BLS) required

Preferred

Minimum 1 year of mammography experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered
