Executive Underwriter, Commercial Insurance Specialty

The role involves identifying growth opportunities, developing strategies for new business, and enhancing relationships with key producers and customers.

Responsibilities

Drive new business growth, achieving an annual goal of $1.5M
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within existing and new production sources
Develop and implement a comprehensive business growth strategy. Manage market penetration efforts and cultivate strong producer and customer relationships
Formulate agency strategies and goals, regularly monitoring progress
Identify cross-sell opportunities among our commercial product offerings
Evaluate and select risks in alignment with Chubb Commercial Insurance guidelines, ensuring thorough documentation
Negotiate pricing, coverage, and terms for new business and renewals while identifying account rounding opportunities
Present sales proposals to producers and clients, including product education and rollout of new offerings
Maintain consistent service standards while collecting and sharing industry insights

Required

In-depth knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting and insurance practices
Proven technical expertise in handling commercial insurance lines including Property, General Liability, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, and Commercial Auto
Strong analytical skills, particularly in financial analysis
Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and negotiation
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Experience in developing and executing marketing plans
Creative and adaptable in a dynamic business environment
Sound decision-making skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

5+ years of Package underwriting experience preferred
