Sr Accountant - Residential Development
Canyon Ranch is a wellness company that guides individuals on their journey towards wellbeing. They are seeking a Senior Accountant for Residential Development to oversee financial aspects related to lot and home sales, development costs, contractor payments, and project cash flows.

Responsibilities
Manage and monitor all financial aspects of the closing process for lot and home sales, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, deposits, incentives, and closing costs
Prepare monthly project-level financial reports, including cost-to-complete, margin analysis, cash forecasts, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
Track and process payments to general contractors, ensuring compliance with contracts, lien waivers, insurance, and retainage requirements
Maintain accurate accounting records for buyer deposits and escrow activity
Partner with sales, legal, operations, and project managers to provide clear financial insights that support forecasting and capital planning
Assist with year-end tax support and audit requests related to residential development
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate development, residential projects, or construction accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial principles
Advanced skills in Excel and accounting systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
A proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues quickly and effectively
