Stormwater Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities
Lead, perform and manage analysis and planning of drainage and flood control programs undertaken by regulatory agencies
Manage project team members performing watershed planning, modeling, mapping, flood mitigation alternatives evaluation, design, cost estimating, and report preparations
Support development, management and maintenance of client relationships on projects and develop new business with existing and new clients
Experience in making public presentations to small and large groups as well as experience in technical marketing activities
Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects
Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other disciplines
Achieve financial targets in relation to backlog, utilization, profit, and invoicing
Mentor staff and identify opportunities for staff development
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience showing increasing responsibility
Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering, registered in Texas or ability to obtain licensure in Texas
Subject Matter Expertise in Stormwater Planning and Hydraulics and Hydrology modeling
Active involvement with industry/technical organizations such as ASFPM, TFMA, ASCE, or others
5+ years of project management experience
Ability to analyze and interpret modeling results and understand practical application of modeling results
Ability to lead conceptual and preliminary design of projects developed through watershed planning
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, etc
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Experience with Texas Flood Control clients such as HCFCD, SARA, Counties, TWDB, GLO, and River Authorities
Lead/assist in business development activities, including writing and pricing scopes of work for proposals
Preferred
Strong preference for engineers with extensive experience with FEMA, HUD, USACE, TxDOT, Regional River Authorities, counties and local agencies, processes, procedures, methods and criteria
Experience in making public presentations to small and large groups as well as experience in technical marketing activities
