Energy Assessment Quality Analyst - PennTAP

Responsibilities

Conduct technical reviews of energy audit reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with PennTAP standards
Verify site assessment data, equipment inventories, and energy analysis tools for correctness
Review energy conservation measures (ECMs) for technical feasibility, savings calculations, and cost estimates
Ensure findings are clearly documented with well-supported assumptions and recommendations
Develop and maintain quality control checklists and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with technical advisors and leadership to identify and address quality issues early
Perform spot-check validations, including occasional site visits if required
Provide feedback and training to advisors to improve future data collection and analysis practices
Maintain project documentation for internal and external audits
Support continuous improvement initiatives to refine assessment processes and tools

Required

Bachelor's Degree
6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (if filled as Facility Condition Assessment Specialist - Senior Professional)
3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (if filled as Facility Condition Assessment Specialist - Advanced Professional)
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, motors, pumps, lighting, and building envelope
Familiarity with applicable standards
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check

Preferred

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Science, or related field
Experience in energy audits, building assessments, or commissioning
Experience with M&V (Measurement and Verification)
Knowledge of utility incentive programs
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
CEM (Certified Energy Manager) certification
