Develop and foster nationally recognized, cross-disciplinary research programs
Integrate data science with a focus on statistical modeling and computation
Strengthen collaborations with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute, the UH College of Medicine, and other departments across the university
Qualification
Required
Earned Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a closely related field
Demonstrated distinguished records in all aspects of research, teaching, and leadership
Sustained vibrant research program funded by competitive funding agencies
Ability to develop and foster nationally recognized, cross-disciplinary research programs
Preferred
Expertise in areas of data science such as machine learning, predictive modeling, decision-making under uncertainty, artificial intelligence, or computational statistics
