Responsibilities
Build, train, and deploy ML models for FHIR-compliant schema mapping and patient record linkage; implement AI-driven anomaly detection; create predictive models for public health use cases
Apply FHIR, OMOP, and HL7 standards to integrate federal EHR systems; support tokenization and privacy-preserving record linkage; enable secure interoperability across platforms
Optimize model performance, accuracy, and interpretability; apply model governance frameworks for monitoring, retraining, and compliance; document processes for audit readiness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
3+ years of hands-on ML/AI model development experience
Proficiency with AWS SageMaker, MLflow, and NLP tools
Experience with FHIR, OMOP, and/or federal EHR data
Knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP High, and FISMA compliance requirements
Preferred
Prior experience with HHS, CMS, FDA, or other federal public health agencies
Expertise in building data ingestion pipelines for large-scale health record systems
Certifications in AI/ML, cloud technologies, or healthcare informatics
