Responsibilities

Oversee, support, and troubleshoot broadcast systems and IP-based equipment, including production routers, multiviewers, production switchers, IP codecs, and network switches
Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues to maintain operational standards and maximize uptime
Support live production environments, including control rooms, the event spaces
Collaborate with remote manufacture engineers, production teams, IT, operations, and internal customers/vendors
Install and configure equipment for content acquisition and distribution
Configure and maintain critical on-air systems to ensure reliable broadcast delivery
Lead software upgrades and system expansions to enhance infrastructure capabilities
Analyze and resolve problems in both software and hardware-based systems
Develop and maintain procedural documentation for system operations and troubleshooting
Train team members, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing

Required

Proven background in the broadcast and/or media industry
Strong knowledge of broadcast TV standards, workflows, and technologies related to routing, switching, encoding, audio processing, and distribution
Technical IT expertise in maintaining server-based digital video and audio control systems, graphics systems, automation systems, and associated software/hardware infrastructure
Hands-on experience with core routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting
Proficiency with uncompressed and compressed video formats (SDI, SMPTE 2110, H.264, JPEG2000)
Understanding of video stream metadata, including triggers, timecode user bits, and closed captioning
Familiarity with leading video/Audio and broadcast delivery solutions (e.g EVS, Ross, TAG, 7th Sense, Megapixel, Matrox, Riedel, PureLink, QSYS, and On-Hertz)
Solid knowledge of IP networking and multicasting, including streaming media protocols (RTP, RTSP, UDP)
Ability to work independently, creatively, and proactively in a fast-paced environment
5–10 years of broadcast IT or engineering experience required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Significant field experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree
